C + D's Wedding at Comrie Croft

We had the pleasure of catering C + D's wedding at Comrie Croft at the end of August. Upon arrival we were met with the most beautiful ceremony set up in the courtyard, guests already in high spirits mingling outside in the sun and instantly we could feel the energy and excitement buzzing around the venue. When the Scottish weather is on our side and we actually manage to cater weddings in the sunshine we often receive comments from guests as they lounge back on some hay bales drinking an ice cold beer and enjoying some of our canapés that, for a moment, they feel like they are in Italy. That feeling is what we love to create.

Comrie Croft is an informal and flexible wedding venue mainly comprised of a 200-year-old framstead, barn and house set around a courtyard draped in festoon lighting providing that often sought after festival feel. The venue allows for more time to be spent with friends and family over the course of a weekend, making use of the excellent kitchen facilities and accommodation sleeping up to 74 people. Guests are able to roll out of bed, make themselves a bacon roll and get ready for an amazing day in the most relaxed way possible (and saves everyone the logistical headache of sorting out transport to and from the venue!). Comrie Croft is an idyllic and quirky wedding venue and we will be seeing more of it in the months ahead!

C + D wanted to create an Italian family sharing style feast for their guests which was placed in the centre of trestle tables for everyone to get stuck in and enjoy. If I'm honest, I think all of my favourite dishes were chosen for their meal, a superb menu! (See full menu below)

"Chiara catered for our wedding and from day 1 she was so communicative and helpful when discussing the logistics of the wedding. Not only did she discuss food but was also super helpful with other aspects of organising the wedding. We went for family style dining which worked really well, we went for mainly veggie options as there were so many veggies and everyone loved it ! All of the guests said how much they loved sharing the food and we even heard some people say it was the best wedding food they had had ! I think people just really enjoyed really delicious and fresh food. I would 100% recommend Chiara and the team , if you want caters who are flexible, friendly and please all types of foodies then this is the one for you ! " - Caitlin and Dave
